Today at around 1:00pm, the CEO of GM, Bob Lutz, will be challenging any takers to a race against his stock Cadillac CTS-V in New York. The race will take place at the Monticello Motor Club. The whole idea came about with GM's new campaign, "may the best car win." He wants to prove to the world that Cadillac can compete and beat luxury imports in performance as well as style. The competitors include a lot of private owners and auto journalists with an extensive racing history that are stepping up to the plate. There should be a good range of import cars to compete against the Cadillac CTS-V. Check out Cadillac's facebook page to get all of the details at facebook.com/cadillac. I will update this blog post later this afternoon with the results of the race and some photos or links to the video.
Challengers will get 5 laps: 1 warm up, 1 cool down and 3 timed laps.
The best time out of the three time trials will be the official time for each challenger.
